Need For Speed Payback

Need For Speed is back and it’s Payback time!

Need For Speed Payback reveal trailer was launched a few days ago and it´s packed with lots of action and explosions. The game has a single player campaign that follows the story of Tyler Morgan (during E3, EA announced that you can play between 3 characters, not only as Tyler): seems like the guy’s been double-crossed, went into exile and now he’s here for payback. He will attempt to build his crew back and bring down a cartel know as The House.
Sounds a bit cliché, but hey!, this is Need For Speed and we’re all about clichés when it comes to the EA franchise.

“This crew right here, that’s the future.”

NFS is all about the cars, and in Payback there will be 5 classes: Race, Drift, Off-Road, Drag and Runner. Just mind that for each job there’s a more suitable car.

It seems there’s an upgrade to how the garage looks like, so be ready to spend some time upgrading your rides and customising them into something worth remembering. It’s all about the right parts to perfect those “wheels”!

The “stage” of NFS Payback already has a name too, Fortune Valley. As the name implies, there will be plenty for you to gain and explore. City, Canyon, Mount or Desert, there will be plenty of options for you to spend a few hours to improve your driving skills.

If you liked NFS Rivals, you’ll be glad to know that cop chases are back. Prepare to push yourself and your car to the limit, ´cause I heard they have helicopters and Rhinos…

Regarding release dates and early access, here’s what EA is saying:

“All Need for Speed Payback pre-orders receive the Platinum Car Pack, instantly giving you access to five uniquely customised and tuned cars, each with exclusive Platinum Blue Tire smoke. Cars included are the Nissan 350Z, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Ford F-150 Raptor, Dodge Charger R/T and the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport.

Pre-order the Deluxe Edition to play Need for Speed Payback on November 7, up to 3 days before the Worldwide release. You’ll also receive exclusive NOS colour, license plate, leaderboard icon, story mission pack and more.

You’ll be able to play Need for Speed Payback on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Origin. You’ll find the full release timings below.

November 2 for EA Access and Origin Access Members with the Play First Trial
November 7 if you buy Need for Speed Payback Deluxe Edition
November 10 if you buy Need for Speed Payback Standard Edition”

That’s gotta be cool, right?
For consoles, the Standard Edition goes for 69,99€ (59,99$ and 54,99£) and the Deluxe Edition for 89,99€ (79,99$ and 79,99£).
I always recommend players that really want to grab the game at launch, to dig a bit the web and find the best online deal. Too many offers out there!

I love the smell of burning rubber!

Before we go, take a peak at 3m of gameplay with Tyler and Jess to open your apetite. Love those cinematic slow motion moments! Sooooooo excited to try it out soon!!!

Get those engines started, November is just around the curve!

Let us know your thoughts about the gameplay and how you felt about it, we would love to hear from you and launch a discussion thread right here, in the comments section.
