NMS pic(k) of the week

PIC(K) OF THE WEEK #0

Hella ma peeps, Beximus here!
Today I decided to start something new – Pic(k) of the week! In all honesty, it’s not entirely new. It’s something that I have created for my old comic-books blog. That blog started back in 2006 and the last post in it dates from 2016. Darn, 10 years of posting!… guess I never realized it ran for so long. All those years running, to end with a slow and sad death like most blogspot websites did… but there were some glorious comic-books moments!

Pic(k) what?

Pic(k) of the week was a weekly post that consisted of choosing an image from the comics world, and share it with the community. I did this every week and as simple it may seem, it worked wonders. Loads of people engaged and commented about their favourite ones. An image is worth more than a thousand words, isn’t that what they say?…

Now, this is a videogames space. True. A place to share an artistic form of expression. But images make us pause. They let emotions flourish. Awe. Wonder. Empathy.

All this got me thinking, what if I brought pic(k) of the week back from the ashes? So, here we are now, starting it all over again 🙂 The sole difference is that I’ll be using the screenshots I take from the videogames I play, not images from somebody else!

I’ll start with an all time favourite, from a very special videogame: No Man’s Sky! The reason I’m posting this pic is not because it’s awesome, but because it started my journey in Game Photography (there’s an hashtag that is very popular in the community: #gametography). When I went back playing NMS with the Pathfinder update, photomode had been introduced and it was the first videogame I took pictures of. Due to that and for it being one of my first shots in No Man’s Sky, I’m sharing it here as the #0 entry of PIC(K) OF THE WEEK.

Hope you guys enjoy it! Let’s see what next week might bring 😉
