Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is here!
Crash Bandicoot, how I’ve missed you!
It’s been too long. Too many years waiting for you, dear marsupial! But today you’re back! Can’t wait to insert the disc in my PS4 and relive so many good Crash Bandicoot memories from the original Playstation.
All 3 games have been remastered, so expect a huge improvement in image quality and fluidity. A lot of videos came out showing the differences, I’m sure you saw them already (more about it below). As a teenager I played all 3 titles, finding the first Crash the hardest one. I only managed to finish “Cortex Strikes Back” and “Warped”, so this time I won’t let go until I finish the first in the line!
Besides Crash, we’ll be able to play with Coco too. But you have to earn it. She will be available in all trilogy titles, and the only one that allows you to start from the beginning is in “Warped”. Her time machine is on the main platform, just go there and interact with her and you’ll be all set to go.
This is all Crash’s fault!
Something funny happened last week, and it’s all Crash’s fault. Let me explain. I had to go to the storage room in the garage to fetch something. A few memories started to take shape as I looked around. And when I have memories popping up when in my storage, I think about my Playstation2 and good old Playstation “The first” (it deserves the respectful title, come on).
I did something stupid by the way, more than a decade ago I sold my original PS to a cousin with all the games I had. Dunno why I did it… As I bought a brand new PS2 at the time, I must have thought: “I’ll never touch that console again, so why to keep it?”. What a moron!!! Really, what was I thinking??? I even kept my Sega Megadrive (Genesis in the US), why did I “throw” my original Playstation away? Teenagers…
So, back to the storage room, I started to look around my PS2 to play a few oldies. I looked and looked… nothing! Can’t find it and I’m still looking for it. A sense of fear takes over sometimes, I can’t help but thinking that I lost it somehow. The thought of letting 2 Playstation consoles fly away is too much to bear in one man’s life. So yeah, this is all Crash Bandicoot’s fault, it’s because of him that I started to remember old Playstation games. Damn you, Crash!
Getting serious about it
I’ve been serious about gaming since ages. Since my mom was pregnant with me, to be more accurate. But it was only a few weeks ago that I decided to do something about it (besides playing, of course). I created my website, a youtube channel, 3 social media platforms are set up and running, so let’s see where this goes but I have a good feeling about this 3PO!
This is vintage stuff!
For me, Crash is already classified as vintage. It’s a classic, so it totally deserves the title. Not everyone becomes vintage, and our beloved marsupial is more than worthy of it! The guys at Activision showed proper respect for what Crash represents to the fans, and the treatment the character got is simply phenomenal. Now it’ll be possible to play in 4K, allowing you to count how many hairs are in our hero’s back.
